Today marks 365 days of the unprecedented, inhuman military siege and communication blockade since India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019. It is a crime against humanity that has destroyed lives, crippled livelihoods, and imperiled the very identity of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).
Eight million Kashmiris have been made prisoners in their own homes. Their communication with the outside world has been deliberately revoked to hide the scale of human rights violations being perpetrated against them by the Indian occupation forces. Young men are being extrajudicially martyred in “fake encounters” and so-called “cordon and search” operations, almost on a daily basis, while the real Kashmiri political leadership remains incarcerated.The extremist and expansionist BJP-RSS combine, represented by the current Indian Government, is unabashedly pushing the ‘Hindutva’ agenda. It is seeking to change the demographic structure of the region and turn its Muslim majority into a minority in blatant violation of relevant UN Security Council Resolutions and international laws, particularly the 4th Geneva Convention.
As expected, the Kashmiris have rejected these illegal ‘engagements in deception’, and so has Pakistan. Parliamentarians, journalists, humanitarian workers, international human rights organizations and members of the international community have also raised their voices on the continuing gross human rights violations in IIOJK. India stands exposed before the world, yet again, as an oppressor and aggressor. Its so-called secular and democratic credentials stand fully discredited.
For the sake of the besieged people of IIOJK, and for the sake of fairness, justice and human dignity, it is imperative that the international community steps in immediately and backs its words of condemnation with practical steps that will force India to reverse its present course against the Kashmiri people.
Let me be absolutely clear: Pakistan will always be with its brothers and sisters in IIOJK. We will never accept, and neither will the Kashmiris, the illegal Indian actions and oppression of the Kashmiri people. India has already failed in keeping the voices of the Kashmiri people from reaching the international community. Now India will fail in forcing its majoritarian, ‘Hindutva’ mindset on a people unwilling to compromise on their just rights and fundamental freedoms.
India must realize that martyrdom of each Kashmiri and the burning and destruction of each Kashmiri house will only further strengthen the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom from Indian occupation. Throughout the Kashmiris’ struggle, Pakistan will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with its Kashmiri brethren until they realize their inalienable right to self-determination through free and impartial plebiscite under the auspices of the United Nations as per the relevant UNSC Resolutions.
وزیراعظم عمران خان کا یوم استحصال کے موقع پر پیغام
وزیراعظم عمران خان نے کہا ہے کہ 80 لاکھ کشمیری اپنے گھروں میں قیدیوں کی زندگی بسر کر رہے ہیں، بھارت کی قابض افواج کی طرف سے بڑے پیمانے پر انسانی حقوق کی سنگین خلاف ورزیاں چھپانے کے لئے بیرونی دنیا کے ساتھ ان کے مواصلاتی رابطے منقطع کئے گئے ہیں، نوجوانوں کو جعلی مقابلوں میں ماورائے عدالت شہید کیا جا رہا ہے اور نام نہاد تلاشی کی کارروائیاں روزانہ ہو رہی ہیں اور کشمیر کی حقیقی سیاسی قیادت جیلوں میں بند ہے، 5 اگست 2019ءکا بھارتی اقدام غیر انسانی فوجی محاصرہ اور مواصلاتی رابطوں کا منقطع کیا جانا انسانیت کے خلاف جرم ہے۔ 5 اگست 2019ءکے بھارت کے غیر قانونی اور یکطرفہ اقدام کو ایک سال مکمل ہونے پر منائے جانے والے یوم استحصال کشمیر کے موقع پر ایک پیغام میں وزیراعظم عمران خان نے کہا کہ بھارت کے غیر انسانی فوجی محاصرے اور مواصلاتی بندشوں نے مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر کے لوگوں کی زندگیوں اور ان کے روزگار کو تباہ کر دیا اور ان کی شناخت کو خطرے میں ڈال دیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بھارت کی انتہاءپسند اور توسیع پسندانہ سوچ رکھنے والی بی جے پی آر ایس ایس کی نمائندہ بھارتی حکومت ہندتوا ایجنڈے کو آگے بڑھا رہی ہے اور بھارتی حکومت خطے میں آبادی کے تناسب کو تبدیل کرنا چاہتی ہے اور مسلمان اقلیت کو اقلیت میں تبدیل کرنے کی کوشش کر رہی ہے جو کہ اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل، بین الاقوامی قوانین اور بالخصوص چوتھے جنیوا کنونشن کی کھلی خلاف ورزی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ توقع کے مطابق کشمیریوں نے بھارت کے غیر قانونی اقدام کو مسترد کر دیا ہے اور پاکستان، ارکان پارلیمنٹ، صحافیوں، انسانی حقوق کے کارکنوں، انسانی حقوق کی بین الاقوامی تنظیموں اور بین الاقوامی برادری کے ارکان نے بھی مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر میں انسانی حقوق کی مسلسل سنگین خلاف ورزیوں پر اپنی آواز بلند کی ہے۔ بھارت دنیا کے سامنے ایک جارح اور جابر ملک کے طور پر بے نقاب ہو گیا ہے اور اس کے نام نہاد سیکولر اور جمہوری دعوے بھی مکمل طور پر بے نقاب ہوئے ہیں۔ مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر کے محاصرے کے شکار عوام کیلئے اور انصاف و انسانی وقار کے لئے یہ ضروری ہے کہ عالمی برادری فوری مداخلت کرے اور مذمت کے اپنے الفاظ کے ساتھ عملی اقدامات کرے تاکہ بھارت کشمیری عوام کے خلاف موجودہ ظالمانہ کارروائیاں بند کر دے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان ہمیشہ اپنے کشمیری بھائیوں اور بہنوں کا ساتھ دے گا اور نہ ہم اور نہ ہی کشمیری عوام کے خلاف بھارتی غیر قانونی اقدامات اور ظلم و جبر کو قبول کریں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بھارت پہلے ہی عالمی برادری تک رسائی کے لئے کشمیری عوام کی آواز روکنے میں ناکام رہا ہے اور اب بھارت منصفانہ حقوق اور بنیادی آزادیوں کا مطالبہ کرنے والے عوام پر ہندتوا سوچ کو مسلط کرنے میں ناکام رہے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بھارت کو یہ سمجھنا چاہیے کہ ہر کشمیری کی شہادت اور ہر کشمیری کے گھر کو جلانا یا تباہ کرنا کشمیری عوام کے بھارتی قبضہ سے آزادی کے عزم کو مزید تقویت دے گا۔ کشمیری عوام کی پوری جدوجہد کے دوران پاکستان اپنے کشمیریوں بھائیوں کے شانہ بشانہ اس وقت تک کھڑا رہے گا جب تک کہ وہ اقوام متحدہ کی متعلقہ قراردادوں کے مطابق اقوام متحدہ کے زیر اہتمام آزادانہ اور غیر جانبدارانہ رائے شماری کے ذریعے اپنے حق خودارادایت کا ادراک نہ کریں۔
